Do not inflate balloon unless catheter in to hilt without resistance and urine draining freely (gentle pressure on bladder may help to flush instillagel from lumen). Webcatheter management is of the highest quality and standard, and is equitable across the organisation. This policy provides guidance on urethral, suprapubic and intermittent catheterisation for adult patients (18 years of age and older) and includes a pathway for the management of blocked catheters in all settings.
