Flying red ants in my yard

WebI have over 50 red ant nests in my lawn and its driving me crazy. When we were away last summer they all decide to hatch with flying ants and our daughter used kettle after kettle of boiling hot water which did some good but also kills the grass around the area. Hopefully some good solutions will appear on here.
